Jump City Events
Seminars and Workshops - Jump City offers many seminars and workshops to enhance your agility training program. We endeavor to present the highest quality instructors while keeping the fees for these events low so everyone can have an opportunity to participate. You do not have to be a Jump City Agility student to participate in these events.

Agility Demonstrations - Jump City Agility puts on several agility demonstrations each year for charitable dog organizations. We regularly demonstrate the sport at:

  • the Sepulveda Basin Off-Leash Dog Park "Dog Faire" in Van Nuys

  • Guide Dogs of America "Dog Jog" in Brentwood

  • New Leash on Life's "Nuts for Mutts" at Calabasas High School

Because we believe the sport of agility so enhances the lives of our furry friends and intensifies the bond between handler and dog, we welcome the opportunity to introduce the public to our sport at these demonstrations. You do not have to be a Jump City student to participate in our demonstrations, and all levels are welcome.

Show and Go's give everyone an opportunity to practice running courses in an agility trial setting. These events are run just like a regular trial with the courses judged and timed, but you are allowed to use training, treats and leashes in the ring. Courses are offered at the novice, open and excellent levels. You can run at whatever level or jump height you wish, and run the courses more than once.  The cost is usually $5 for one run or 3 runs for $12. All dogs are welcome at the Show & Go's.

AKC Agility Trials - Our training director also puts on AKC agility trials for various breed clubs throughout the year.

We always looking for people to work at our trials and believe it is a great way for beginners to learn about their sport from the "inside". We are eager to teach you everything you need to know to become a timer or scribe at an agility trial, or we can assign you to jobs like course building, jump setting or score and leash running. Whatever your job, we will not only provide you with lunch, drinks and snacks for a day's work, you will earn "trial dollars" that you can use for Jump City classes, seminars, workshops, and for entry fees to certain agility trials. You do not have to be a Jump City student to work at these trials.

Go to our Agility Trial Services page to see upcoming trials.

You can download the following forms to help you enter any AKC agility events.

To see these forms, you will need to download and install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader if you don't have it already.
